Service Overview
Establishing a VPN connection allows access to the SJFC network from a remote location. It is a secure, encrypted connection to ensure privacy over the internet. Once the VPN connection is established, remote PC will have access to your P:\ drive as well as other campus resources. It will work as if it were plugged-in directly on campus.

Once VPN access has been granted you will need to install the Cisco VPN client on your non-SJFC device. Instructions for installing and connecting to the VPN client are available in the links below.

After you have established a VPN connection, you can use SJFC applications like Banner, or to access your P:\ drive.

Open Computer and in the address bar enter: \\citadel\Faculty(staff)\First initial\First initial and lastname and press Enter. i.e., \\citadel\staff\J\jdoe

How is this service delivered?
VPN access is available for faculty/staff with the approval of department chair and/or supervisor. Please include your department chair and/or supervisor’s name for approval verification.
