Mobile Device Access Using Exchange Active Sync Settings- Faculty/Staff

The Office of Information Technology provides limited configuring and troubleshooting support for the use of email clients beyond SJFC Webmail. If you would like to check email remotely, use the Webmail system, available at http://webmail.sjfc.edu.

SJFC mail access is otherwise available by use of the Active Sync settings. All of your email messages will remain on the server. IMAP provides limited functionality and does not have access to your non-mail folders such as your Calendar, Contacts, Tasks, Notes, etc. You must use SJFC Webmail or Microsoft Outlook for this functionality.

Troubleshooting Tips:

Microsoft allows a maximum of 10 devices connecting to your Exchange account (Outlook-email).  If you exceed the limit you have to delete unused/old devices.

  • Launch Outlook Web App from my.sjfc.edu, and within the launch pad click on the Faculty/Staff Email link.   
    • Click on Options, select See All Options and click on Phone
    • Select Mobile Phones tab, and delete any unused partnerships.
