Remote Lab Access

If you are connecting from off campus, you must first connect to VPN using Cisco AnyConnect before connecting to a remote lab computer.
 

Faculty may request Remote Lab Access for on-line classes that are required to use specialty lab software to complete coursework. Students in classes that have been granted access have the ability to remotely connect to a lab computer on campus that has been configured for this purpose.

Required software:

  1. Download and install Cisco AnyConnect VPN software. 
    1. Go to: https://vpn.sjf.edu
    2. Click the Logon button on the Login window, 
    3. Log in using your network credentials and your multi factor authentication method.
  2. If connecting from a Mac, download and install Microsoft Remote Desktop 10 from the app store. 

Connecting to an SJF lab computer. 

  1. Log in to Cisco AnyConnect VPN software to securely connect your computer to the SJFnetwork.

  2. Visit the SJF Remote Computer Access dashboard: https://remoteaccess.labstats.com/st-john-fisher-college
  3. Click the Connect button next to the computer you want to use, open the connection file and log in. 

When finished using the lab computer 

  1. Log off lab computer
  2. Disconnect from VPN
