Access SJF Virtual Lab Computers
Students that are required to use software installed on SJF lab computers to complete coursework can remotely access virtual lab computers using their own computers or iPads. Remote access is available while on campus and from off campus.
Required software:

Connecting from a Mac or PC
- You can use your browser to access the Virtual Lab Computers – no additional software needed.

Connecting from an iPad
- iPads use the Windows app (formerly Microsoft Remote Desktop) to connect to lab computers. The Windows app is available from Self Service on your Fisher iPad, or the App Store if using a personal iPad.
Connecting to an SJF Virtual Lab Computer from a Mac or PC Computer
- In the MySJF launchpad, click the SJF Virtual Computer Lab icon
- Or navigate to https://client.wvd.microsoft.com/arm/webclient/
- Sign into your Fisher account
- Click the Remote Desktop Access icon to connect to a virtual lab computer
- Files can be saved to your P: drive, OneDrive or Google Drive. Your P: drive and OneDrive connect automatically. To use Google Drive, open the app on the virtual computer and sign in.
Connecting to an SJF Virtual Lab Computer from an iPad
- Download and install the Windows app (formerly Microsoft Remote Desktop) from Self Service or the App Store. The first time you connect to the Virtual Lab, you need to add Fisher’s Workspace.
- Open the app, click the + sign at the bottom of the screen and click Add Workspace.
- Enter the following URL: https://rdweb.wvd.microsoft.com/api/arm/feeddiscovery
- Click Next
- Sign in to your Fisher account
- Click the Remote Desktop Access icon to log in to a virtual computer.
- Files can be saved to your P: drive, OneDrive or Google Drive. Your P: drive and OneDrive connect automatically. To use Google Drive, open the app on the virtual computer and sign in.
- iPads default to controlling the mouse pointer on the screen. To toggle between mouse pointer and touch screen, tap the Remote Desktop icon on the right side of the screen. In the upper left corner are the buttons for touch screen or mouse control.
When finished using the virtual lab computer
Double-click the red Logoff icon on the desktop to disconnect from the virtual lab computer.
